In this Thai Trip post, I go back to the period when we were in Chiang Mai. Over the days we were there, every morning before 7 we left for this temple, Wat Phra Chaotuangluang, in the middle of the Chiang Mai countryside to do a dana. This temple was very peaceful and serene as it was located around lots of trees, near a hill, and the overall location of the temple was quite nice. We named the temple as 'The Temple of the Big Buddha' because there was a huge Buddha statue located on the hill behind the temple around the kuti area.
